anchorage,

We are a unique beauty business located in Anchorage, Alaska, right in the middle of one of the most beautiful places on earth. We do many different things. Look around and enjoy yourself. Find out about our boutique beauty/esthetics school that was voted BEST beauty /esthetics school in Alaska (or has the highest ratings) at Mojo Pages, Better Business Bureau, MerchantCircle, YahooLocal, YellowPages, SuperPages, Citysearch, Google maps, BizVotes, InsiderPages, Hello Anchorage, Judy's Book, BeautySchoolsInAlaska.Com, AlaskaBeautySchoolReviews.Com, MicroPoll, and more. We don't have the highest ratings at some of these, we have the highest ratings at ALL of these.

Our hairdressing program (link above)  and our esthetics program (link above) are great and we have the best-trained hairdressing and esthetics instructors in Alaska. How do we KNOW this? Because we spend more money, make more effort, travel further and more frequently to get advanced international training each year than anyone else in the state in places like Paris, Barcelona, Bologna, London, Los Angeles, Long Beach, and many more. MetrOasis ATC has 1219 total review points at BeautySchoolsInAlaska.Com while Academy of Hair has 41 total points and Trend Setters has 86 total points. Our goal at MetrOasis is to only train top hairdressers and estheticians and future salon owners. That's it. With 1,219 review stars, we can safely say that we do a really good job of it too!

What are we doing differently? We have three of our own haircare/skincare lines for one. We weren't happy with the quality of most of the "professional" salon products out there, we were tired of trying to compete with counterfeit products at Costco, Fred Meyer, etc., so we developed our own products. Our training is completely different from other schools. Other beauty schools train you to be a beauty school student and then the salon you work for trains you to be a stylist.

Hairdressers... We train you to be a stylist while you're still in school. Our "Red Book" is a record of beauty school-level accomplishments. That's where other beauty schools stop. We continue training you with advanced techniques and use our "Blue Book" to record your salon-level accomplishments. This means that by the time you graduate you are already doing salon-level work. For you, this means you can save thousands of dollars not having to travel around (like I did) to complete your training by taking advanced training classes. For salons, it means that they don't have to take someone right out of school and train them in salon techniques from scratch. It's a win/win situation. Because of our policies, our high level of advanced training and our commitment to our students and our clients, our two biggest so-called competitors have only 7% and 3% (respectively) of our reputation. So seriously... do you want to attend a 97% school, a 7% school or a 3% school for something as important as your future career? Let me ask this another way... What is the best way to be successful? To attend a school with an "extraordinary to perfection" score, a school with no score, or a school with a "poor to fair" score? Pretty easy decision huh?

Estheticians... Our curriculum, our passion, our equipment, and our teaching techniques are SO much more advanced that any comparison to any other esthetics school in Alaska is laughable! Ask a few estheticians where they got their start. Chances are they're going to tell you MetrOasis. In fact, chances are that estheticians that didn't attend MetrOasis will also refer you to us. Why? Because we produce the best-trained estheticians in Alaska!
This is a recent email we received - Sigel - "It was so wonderful to meet YOU yesterday. No, I do not mind that you took a peek at my site or at my tags. Thank you for your input there, and also the time you spent with me yesterday. I do love the folks I paid to teach me, but I can honestly say you spent more valuable time with me in one hour than I received the entire time I was in esthetics training. I could never tell you how grateful I am that you took the time that you did. It was obvious from the time I called and spoke to Sue to set up the appointment, to the time I walked out the door, you two are truly passionate about what you do. There is a huge place in my heart for people as dedicated and in love with their work as both of you are. I am so thankful to have met you. P.S. You are also damn funny and I appreciate you letting me pick your brain:)" A.W.

WARNING - From time to time you'll see sponsored ads on Google advertising for train at home cosmetology and esthetics programs. These classes are not recognized by the Alaska Board of Barbers and Hairdressers or by the Alaska Commission on PostSecondary Education. This means that all of the money you spend on these study-at-home programs will be wasted because you can't use either the hours or the requirements to gain your license in Anchorage, Alaska or anywhere else. Don't get fooled by these ads. Make sure that ANY beauty school you choose to attend is approved by both of these agencies before you plop down your hard-earned money. There are several beauty schools in Anchorage for you to choose from. Just make sure that you choose the best one for you.

We think this says a lot about how serious we are about what we do! Make an appointment online, book your next vacation, find some great haircare or skincare products, or think about joining us on our next trip. It's all right here. And above all... HAVE FUN!
